What Does an Online Health and Fitness Coach Actually Do?
If you've ever downloaded a meal plan, joined a gym or started a fitness challenge only to find yourself back at square one a few weeks later, you're not alone.

If you've ever downloaded a meal plan, joined a gym or started a fitness challenge only to find yourself back at square one a few weeks later, you're not alone.
And chances are, you didn't struggle because you didn't know you should eat well or exercise.
Most of us already know the basics.
The challenge is knowing how to apply them consistently within the realities of our own lives.
That's where personalised coaching can make a difference.
Online coaching is more than a meal plan and workout program
A meal plan tells you what to eat.
A workout program tells you what exercises to complete.
But neither necessarily addresses why you've struggled to maintain those behaviours in the past.
Perhaps you're time poor.
Maybe you're constantly putting everyone else's needs ahead of your own.
Maybe you struggle with motivation, emotional eating, confidence or an all-or-nothing mindset.
Or perhaps you've spent years trying different approaches and simply don't know what works for your body anymore.
Effective coaching considers those factors rather than handing everyone the same generic plan.
What does coaching with Thrive With Marcelle include?
My approach combines three important areas: nutrition, movement and mindset.
Personalised nutrition
We look at your goals, food preferences, lifestyle and current eating habits to develop a practical nutrition strategy.
That might include calorie and macro guidance, meal planning, portion education and building a better understanding of how to fuel your body.
Personalised exercise
Your training program is developed around your experience, available equipment, physical capabilities and schedule.
Whether you're exercising at home or in the gym, the aim is to create a program that's both effective and achievable.
Mindset and habit coaching
This is where we look beyond the mechanics of nutrition and exercise.
We explore your routines, self-talk, priorities, barriers and the behaviours that influence your consistency.
Because knowing what to do and consistently doing it are two very different things.
Why accountability matters
Accountability isn't about having someone tell you off when you haven't followed your plan.
It's about having support, guidance and an opportunity to reflect on what's working and what needs to change.
Through weekly check-ins, we can review your progress, celebrate your wins, identify challenges and adjust your approach.
Sometimes that means progressing your training.
Sometimes it means reviewing nutrition.
And sometimes it means having an honest conversation about what's getting in the way.
The goal is to help you develop the skills and confidence to take greater ownership of your health.
How does online coaching work?
With Thrive With Marcelle, your coaching is delivered remotely, giving you flexibility to work towards your goals wherever you are.
You'll have access to a coaching app containing your personalised training and nutrition guidance, along with resources to support your progress.
We also have regular check-ins and ongoing communication, so you're not left trying to figure everything out on your own.
Online coaching can be particularly useful for women who have busy schedules, family responsibilities or simply prefer the flexibility of training at times that suit them.
Is online coaching right for you?
Online coaching may be a good fit if you're ready to make changes but want professional guidance, structure and support.
You don't need to be fit already.
You don't need to have everything figured out.
And you don't need to wait until life becomes less busy.
You do need to be willing to participate in the process, communicate openly and practise the habits we're working to build.
Coaching isn't a magic solution.
It's a partnership.
The ultimate goal is independence
One of the most important things I want women to gain through coaching is confidence in their own abilities.
I want you to understand your nutrition.
I want you to feel comfortable and capable with exercise.
I want you to recognise the behaviours that support your wellbeing.
And I want you to know how to navigate the inevitable challenges life throws your way.
Because success isn't about needing a coach forever.
It's about developing the knowledge, habits and confidence to continue looking after yourself.
